In the book, Fever 1793, there is a wonderful character who is the grandfather of the protagonist. In my assignment I describe the ways he is dashing and courageous. Then, I describe someone in my life that is like grandfather.
The first example of grandfather’s dashing courage was when Mathilda passed out from the fever and grandfather had to carry her all the way to Bush Hill. He had to be strong-willed and have a clear mind to do this task. It was a very long distance, and he was very ill, but he didn’t give up. Because of his courage Mathilda recovered in the safety of a good hospital.
Another example of grandfather’s dashing courage, was when he fought against the two robbers that were invading their coffee shop. Even though he was old and weak, he stood his ground and pointed his gun at the robbers, just as he chased off the red coats when he was a younger man in the war.
My father is very much like grandfather in the way that he always approaches things with a smile and loves taking care of and being with children and is also kind and encouraging; nevertheless, he would be a fearsome adversary.
